Organizational Development and Capacity Building

Organizational development strengthens the ability of individuals and organizations to achieve their mission. These processes include all aspects of technical and institutional performance enhancement. Organizational capacity building models focus on creating an environment for lifelong learning and continuous improvement while meeting the immediate learning needs of individuals and organizations. A key goal of organizational development is organizational effectiveness, which is the ability of an organization to fulfill its mission through a blend of sound management, strong governance, and a persistent rededication to achieving results.
